Easy Apple Pie

Nothing beats a nice plate of warm apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! This pie is easy to make and tastes delicious. I used a frozen pie crust on this one, but I normally make homemade crust. I will post an easy homemade crust later, but for now this recipe will use a frozen crust.

Wash, quarter, and core 2 granny smith apples and 2 red delicious apples. You can peel if you choose, but I left the peels on.
Slice apples thinly and place into pie crust.

Cover apples with 1/2 cup sugar, 3 tbsp cinnamon, 2 tsp nutmeg.

Next you make the crumb topping for the pie.

Combine 1/2 cup butter, 3/4 cup flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp salt. Mix until crumble texture. Sprinkle on top of pie. Bake at 375* for 30 – 40 mins until crumble topping is browned and crispy and pie crust edges are slightly browned.
This pie is wonderful and makes your house smell delicious!! It is a favorite of my kids!
