Thanksgiving Kids Project

Thanks Bank

This is a fun way to get your kids involved in the process of being thankful… and is SUPER easy!!

Set a glass bowl in a place where you are sure to see it each day. Then, everyday ask your children at the end of the day what they are thankful for; if they can write it, have them write it, if not write it for them, then toss it in the bowl. On Thanksgiving day pull out the papers and as a family read them aloud!! It’s a great way to see how through the month their thought processes will change.

If you have smaller children you can prompt them with questions like:

“I am thankful for mommy, because ____”

“I am thankful for my family, because _____”

Then have them fill in the blanks. Be creative and write honestly anything they say. You can even start a tradition of saving them and placing them in a scrapbook each year, so you can look back on them for years to come!!
