Pray on, Chris Pratt @prattprattpratt

Tonight, I read this story about Chris Pratt being attacked on social media after asking for prayer for a child. My heart immediately broke for him.

This man who has such a giant platform was simply trying to spread positivity for this sick child. I understand that not everyone believes in God or the power of prayer, but this shouldn’t negate someone else’s right to pray or ask for prayer.

I would be willing to bet those same haters on his page are the same people screaming for freedom of (or from) religion. Here’s the thing though, freedom of religion means that everyone has the right to practice the religion they choose or don’t choose. Freedom of speech means those people have the right to speak about the religion they choose to follow or not follow. It does not mean you have the right to be an insufferable ass to anyone who doesn’t agree with you.

If you don’t like it scroll on, but for the love of everything, SHUT UP. Do not berate someone for their religion. We live in America, home of the free.

So, Chris Pratt if you ever read this, I stand with you. Be strong and courageous. Do not allow these people to get you down.

To everyone else reading this, be kind. Practice the religion you choose to follow, or don’t practice one – just be kind to everyone else; even if they don’t hold the same beliefs as you.
