Book Review: You Carried Me

You Carried Me is the inspirational story of Melissa Ohden who, at fourteen years old, learns that her birth mother tried to abort her. Melissa was adopted into a loving family, but they hid this fact from her until she was 14 years old. The beginning of this story was a little slow, but by the second chapter, I was so drawn in by the story that I couldn’t put the book down. The way Melissa shares her story captivates the reader and makes you truly feel you are a part of her story.

The story of how Melissa searches for her birth parents and her journey from shame to forgiveness and empowerment is fascinating.
